Introducing & Celebrating "Magnificent Monday's"

Have you ever went to bed on a Sunday night "in a good mood?"

Yet, somehow as you awaken on Monday morning you're exhausted or reluctant to get up and get into motion? Why do you think that happens?

I can tell you..... A lot of it has to do with our "subconscious" or background apps that are ALWAYS running. Even though "consciously" we may be disengaged by watching tv, spending quality time with our family and friends, etc. yet our subconscious is running at full speed.

As we approach the time where our responsibilities must be carried out, we are engulfed by anxiety. I know a lot of great people but on Monday's .... whew! These are some of the "meanest, sloppiest, just disgruntle" people.

I could never understand why Monday's made people so downtrodden or discontent. Over the past 11 years I've taken notes on my own reactions and actions as well as observing other's. What I've found is that Monday is equivalent to receiving "a balance due" notification!

Monday represents "deadlines, revisions, etc.." that many of us would prefer to avoid or are not happy obliging because of our personal feelings surrounding it, or the physical aspects that negatively or positively impact us.

We must change that! I've "consciously" decided since having my son 7 years ago, decided that I was no longer going to be a victim of the "case of the Mondays!" Despite my "love always" for the movie Office Space.

Even for people who didn't know the extent of the meaning, were still receptive to it's intent! Whenever I've said to people "Top of the Morning to you have a Magnificent Monday" I would receive smiles from the majority of people; there honestly, were few people who didn't respond at all or responded with some form of discontent or disapproval.

Once you change your perspective (reaction) to people, places or things; you also change your responses (actions) regarding them.

Since I've consciously decided to have "Magnificent Monday's" there's almost nothing a person can do to steal my joy.

Now there are a lot of instances where I have to "close a few windows" and by that I mean "activate tunnel vision" because there are co-workers, family members, people on the road, etc.. that are "the devil's advocates" and the devil is always busy.

We have to learn to ignore "temporary emotional triggers" to avoid permanent emotional damage.

We must create a force field that allows us to "feel" the emotion but it doesn't allow us to harbor (live in) the emotion, instead I use the "emotions" to fuel "actions"that improve the situation/circumstances.

I challenge you to "have a Magnificent Monday" every week!

Starting your week off right, is just as important as eating breakfast in the morning; if not more!

Honestly, I've skipped breakfast on many occasions and I've done just fine.

However, when I've chosen NOT to start my week off "Magnificently" I've had such a hard time throughout the day and the entire week. Physically I was more exhausted, emotionally I was drained because I "harbored (lived in) the emotion" versus using the emotion to fuel action.

Magnificent Monday's Must Dos:

* Create a list of "things to do" this preferably should be a "physical list" that you can see and carry with you (if needed).

* Ensure to list them in order of priority.

* Be realistic not only in your "prioritizing" but in your execution.

* Don't be afraid to "disappoint" others, while "appointing" a positive spirit and life for yourself.

* Smile, especially when you want to cry or scream.

* Remember positive affirmations or create them and recite them "daily" but at least three times on Monday the morning when you awaken, during your lunch, and in the evening on your drive/ride home or before laying down for bed.

* Have faith knowing that Friday is on the way!

WITH LOVE,
